We perform horizontal directional drilling with a Vermeer D20x22 S3 machine with a pulling force of 9 tonnes (year of manufacture 2019) with Falcon F5 measuring, which eliminates both active and passive interference.

To improve the quality of the work and increase comfort, we have a suction vacuum to remove flushing liquid from shafts. Although we operate throughout Moravia, we most often work in Olomouc and the surrounding area.

Horizontal directional drilling technology beneath roads, buildings, watercourses, etc., allows the fast and precise installation of utility lines.

Information about the existence of underground utility lines and their precise delineation is essential for the successful completion of any project.
The client is responsible for locating existing utility lines.

Another important consideration is the type of subsoil and the geology at the drilling site. Our company, Zemní protlaky Fiala s.r.o., works in soils in classes 1–4, which in practice means loess, topsoil and clay, but also subsoil with coarse gravel, sand and smaller stones.

Site preparation for horizontal directional drilling


Prior to the arrival of our drilling rig, it is necessary to arrange the demarcation of the underground utility lines with their administrators. If possible, they should also be probed to prevent damage.

It is also necessary to prepare the starting and finishing shafts, typically with dimensions of 1 x 2 m in the direction of the borehole, and a depth of about 0.5 m beneath the required depth of the retracted conduit.

It is necessary to take into account the specific situation and conditions, which vary. It is always preferable to see the site beforehand and make arrangements according to the situation.

We are able to provide shaft excavation in Olomouc and the surrounding area.





Price list for horizontal directional drilling and conduit pullback

Prices are agreed on an individual basis. The price is based on the rock class, the diameter of the pulled-back conduit, the length of the drilling and the volume of the job.

We are willing to meet the customer's needs and we try to keep our prices at a level that is acceptable to both parties.

We do not charge for transport costs within 10 km in Olomouc and the surrounding area.

Excavation and container transport

Because we work with soil on a daily basis, we also offer excavation work with a mini excavator and skid loader. We use a MAN truck with a container to transport the material.
